Rajasthan Palanhar Yojana 2026: Rajasthan Government Continues To Support Vulnerable Children The initiative aims to provide a family atmosphere for children deprived of parental care or belonging to specific categories instead of institutional care. Under this scheme, the task of rearing an eligible child is handed to a close family, adult sibling or any other trusted guardian called as Palanhar.
The government gives monthly financial assistance directly to eligible beneficiaries to aid with the child’s schooling, nutrition and everyday costs. Rajasthan Palanhar Yojana 2026 Eligibility
The initiative is for youngsters in need of particular care because of tough familial situations. Eligible categories are orphan children, children of parents sentenced to life imprisonment or death penalty, children of widowed women receiving pension benefits, children of remarried widows, children of parents suffering from HIV/AIDS, children of parents affected by leprosy, children of specially-abled parents, children of divorced or abandoned women and such other categories as may be notified by the Government.

- Annual family income should not exceed ₹1.20 lakh.
- The Palanhar and the child should normally be residents of Rajasthan for at least three years.
