Are You Eligible for Canara Bank Apprentice? Check These Conditions
First, your degree. You need a graduation in any subject from a recognized university. You must have passed it between 1 January 2023 and 1 September 2026, both dates included.
Second, your marks. Your 12th or diploma marks decide your rank, so they matter. General category candidates need at least 60%. SC, ST and disabled candidates need at least 55%.
Third, some people can’t apply. If you’ve done an apprenticeship before, or you’re doing one right now, you’re out. Same if you’ve got one year or more of training or job experience after finishing your qualification.
What Is the Age Limit for Canara Bank Apprentice 2026
Age is counted as on 1 September 2026. General and EWS candidates must be between 20 and 28 years old. In simple words, you should have been born between 2 September 1998 and 1 September 2006.

How Does Selection Work, and Is There an Exam
Good news, there’s no written exam mentioned in the advertisement. The bank makes a state-wise merit list based on your 12th or diploma marks. If two people have the same percentage, the older one comes first.
After that, your documents get checked. A local language check happens where needed, but if your 10th or 12th marksheet shows you studied the chosen local language, you can skip it. Final selection also depends on passing the bank’s medical fitness rule.
What Will You Earn During Training
Training is 12 months, and you’ll get ₹16,650 per month. Out of that, ₹10,500 comes from the bank and ₹6,150 is the government’s share.
Remember, an apprentice isn’t a regular bank employee. The bank doesn’t have to give you a permanent job after training ends.
